With so many brands and products vying for consumers’ attention at convenience stores, breaking through the clutter requires a strong design and a visual language the target demographic can quickly understand. In creating the packaging to launch MATADOR, Fuse chose to create packaging with simple, clean lines that would own its shelf space. A foil wrapper as a base layer of the stick paired with an emboss hit the sweet spot of category familiarity for the consumer and resonated with the teen target.
Fuse was able to deliver design that bridged that gap between mainstream appeal and teen credibility, while also moving product off the shelves. MATADORshattered sales expectations in its first year.
